MiceTracking™ Implants

MiceTracking™ implants are autonomous subcutaneous micro-devices equipped with multiple sensors. They continuously measure the biological and physical parameters of the animal. This data, used for medical and behavioral research, is transmitted to the Reading Platform. This allows you to monitor the health and well-being of each animal as well as individual and group behaviors. The implant is equipped with an identifier and a customizable eHealth passport.

MiceTracking Health Implant

The Micetracking health implant is a health monitoring device for laboratory animals. It is equipped with sensors and collects physiological and behavioral data in real time.

It has a battery that can be continuously charged via the MiceTrack platform.

The Welfare Score

Data from the implant and antenna matrix are combined into a score out of 5, offering an at-a-glance view of the animal’s overall condition.

Welfare score illustration: an example of 4.5 out of 5.
  1. Collect

The implant and antenna matrix collect data continuously.

  2. Analyse

    Collected measurements are analysed automatically.

  3. Summarise

A health score out of 5 summarises the animal’s overall condition.

A reference point for quickly detecting anomalies and tracking changes in welfare over time.

The eHealth Passport

Essential information is stored in the implant’s memory and accessible through the reading platforms.
